GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. (WNYT) — Four people were displaced after fire struck two homes in Gloversville on Wednesday night. Fire Chief Thomas Groff said the first call came in at 10:28 p.m. at 176 Spring St. and it was spreading to 174 Spring St. Firefighters worked from outside 176 Spring St. to contain the fire and limit its spread. Hydrant issues affected the water supply, but Groff said Gloversville and Johnstown fire crews contained the flames. Four adults were displaced by the fire, and no injuries were reported among firefighters or civilians. Berkshire Fire Department provided station coverage for Gloversville after Johnstown called back additional manpower. The cause remains under investigation by Gloversville and Johnstown fire investigators, Gloversville Police Department and the New York State Office of Fire Prevention and Control Arson Investigation Unit. Lake Valley EMS stood by at the scene. Gloversville Police Department helped with traffic control and scene sec
